Updated 31 Oct.. Nexus 5.... So finally arrived.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

I wonder if the Gnex is gonna get 4.4.

Either way, I'll probably hang on to my N4 for a month or so while Google makes ppl suffer through their shortages again.

But this WILL be mine in the future mainly because all the features I've never had in a phone are tightly bundled within this one at a decent price (LTE, 1080p screen, hopefully great camera) That's all I need for 2yrs.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

Big pretty IPS screen with almost 2.1 million pixels and an S800 :D If we want to see more than 20-30 hours of battery life or a very heavy use 15-20, 3K might be the number. We'll have to see how the software works out with Qualcomm's baby, but it seems to be about the right number in the G2 which isn't much bigger and has the same number of pixels.
Well has anyone with either a G2 or a Note 3 spoken about battery life? Those two would be good comparisons seeing as they're larger screens and have heavy handed UIs as well. Not perfect, but it give a rough idea of the type of life the S800 is capable of.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

I really want this phone but i bought my n4 in just march. (would have been sooner but i was stuck on contract with VZ) not a scratch on it. id be one of theose applefanboys who upgrades the 5 to a 5s just cuz its cool. ill see what exactly its packing (officially) then decide

At least the N5 is an upgrade in multiple areas as opposed to the 5s. If the only upgrade from the N4 to the N5 was the processor, I would say skip the upgrade, but we get a new processor, higher resolution and larger screen, LTE, and a better camera (according to some sites).

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

Oh the excitement! It's only a matter of time at this point and Google/KitKat know how to keep building that hype.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

No...there really isn't. It's not gonna happen. You probably have a better chance of winning the Powerball.

I prefer

"You may say I'm a dreamer...but I'm not..."

Those are all good devices, but there are a lot of reason why folks want a Nexus specifically. I currently own an S4 and love it, but I've already decided my next phone will be a Nexus, even if that means leaving Verizon for good.

That page was never meant to go live at this time...have patience, it will be back.

There's a good possibility that they do stuff like this intentionally to create a buzz. Think about it, it's much cheaper to leak just enough info to get folks talking and curious about the device than to spend a ton of money on advertising. The other possibility is that with so many people working on it (especially this close to launch), it's simply impossible to keep every detail under wraps. It's probably a little bit of both.

Hahaha. Dream killer.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

I will be getting the Nexus 5 but my only problem will be availability here in Australia. I have enough money to buy one. Hopefully Google see fit to launch in multiple countries on day one.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

Here's another device to add to my list of things to buy. I think I need to get a second job.

I'm not sure if Singapore is going to take in the Nexus 5. Currently, the play store is only accessible to US ;(

Preciate the response. I still wonder though how did they let that like 7 min long video of the guy showing the phone get out it just kinna seems like they don't try. I defiantly want the phone but sometimes leaks can spoil the suprise of whats cool and new about it.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

If you want a 3000mah battery why wait for a new HTC or the S5? Get the G2, best camera on a phone right now, awesome screen, and the UI is much better than Touch wiz!

Tapatalk mofo

I don't like the design, software and back buttons of the G2.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

Coming from an iPhone 4S this will be a welcome change.

Well I won?t speak badly about the 4s, I like it, it has been a solid phone for me. But I am ready give Android another go as my phone OS. I have been pleased thus far with my N7. I think the N5 is it.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

Really wishing they would ahve stuck to a curved glass approach like the Galaxy Nexus. I like the feel of the GNex after I put the extended battery and a Seidio Active case on it. Not really digging the flat iphone like/look approach. Only reason Im holding out for the N5 versus the Moto X is the specs,KitKat, and the awesome wireless charging (dwarfed only by that of the Pre3 touchstone charging, TouchStone still the best charger EVER...4 yrs later).

They totally should have gotten with Motorola to build the N5. It would have look a lot more refined. Dont get me wrong, this is a great phone, but it could have been better with a more ergonomic curved approach.

Re: Nexus 5... So it's here

Do you guys know if the nexus 5 will be available in Canada at the same time as the US?
