Updated Fixed A2BT to my AVIC HeadUnit. YAY!

I recently upgraded my car's headunit to a Pioneer AVIC 120bt
One of the main reasons I picked up the Fascinate was because of it's display, I won't lie...but also because I wanted something that gave me more options in terms of Audio from my device.
The phone we both had (Omnia II) didn't do it for us. So the Wifey went for the HTC because it was free...

Anyway, hers has 2.2 installed and the A2DP works on her phone to the headunit but never worked from mine.

I assumed it was because we had 2.1 so I was eager to get 2.2 hopin' that was the problem so that I wouldn't have to look for something else sooner.

Well, with the DL09 update installed, I figured let me try it...you never know...and...Bayum!! It now works for me too!

I already liked this phone alot and hopefully it keeps getting better....

If anyone can give any insight to what it could have been it would be kewl. I assume it was a BT FW upgrade of sorts.

Which unit do you have?

ftr, my BT phone portion worked, it was the A2DP that didn't.

I have an AVH-P4100 with the optional CD-BTB200 unit attached. Streaming anything worked fine for me

I Just had a similar issue resolve with the update. Previously I was not able to stream to my TV (Mits WD-73838) with two different fascinates (BB Storm worked fine)but as soon as the update was done the streaming worked with no issue. Something else must have been corrected with the bluetooth profile that they didn't list. Dont really care what it was just glad it works now!

I hear ya!

I just like knowing what they do because when something gets undone or messed up down the line we may be able to figure it out. Besides, I'm a curious little beyatch.

oh btw HH, I have a 2nd gen HDTV Mitsu (WS-65905) that's over 10 years old and still going. Love my Mitsu.

But yeah, so far the update totally fixed my A2DP. Now my pandora and music player stream perfectly to my AVIC.

Now, if there was a way to have the AVIC mount it via USB....
