just wipe your device and set it back up.. no need to flood the forum with posts, especially since NO ONE is searching first.

Ignorance is hacking the crap out of your device, installing an official OTA update and running into problems after without researching.

the reason why you can't see some apps is because of a line in your build.prop, most likely your device is being recognized as a "unauthorized" google device, not sure why.. that's definitely odd.

Your browser is slow? you can disable flash, or set it to on-demand only.

yea i know the market is an issue i was just posting that so the op knew he wasnt alone when it wasnt working for him. i know i cant root and fix the build.prop file with a new one but its ridiculous that it is required but that moto and vzw who allowed that because apparently that was a leaked froyo issue as well i heard. which is weird because its not affecting all apps, carrier based apps, or just paid or free, the apps it affect seem random and do not fit any set category.

yea i tried to disable and it helped but i just went ahead and deleted flash for now i dont view much flash content on my device and prefer the smoother browser. just baffles me when i see all these people loving flash and mine makes it run worse than a blackberry browser.

my real issue that is bothering me is how the screen seems to become less responsive sometimes namely when typing an email if im going quick where it would work fine in 2.1 it doesnt lag on typing just ignores inputs. it happens in other areas as well such as trying to click a link after a page has fully rendered ill have to click like 5 times and i have already zoomed so im certainly hitting the link. I have only had 2 random reboots which im glad about. and the lockscreen seems slower but i have heard that seems a regular issue.

On my end the OTA update really seems like unfinished like it seems like they waited long and did not bother to ix some of the issues in the leaked versions which i dont understand.

But factory and hard resets have had no effect in improving it. phew sorry didnt mean to rant there lol.

Yep, the leaked 2.2 had the same issue.. I had to edit my build.prop to get all the protected apps to display. Wasn't a huge issue, but rooting wasn't fun.. like 15 minutes and a page worth of linux shell commands.

Are you running the stock blur UI? I switched to ADW and don't have any slowness that I can see.. browser does run a smidgeon slower because of flash, but I love having "the full web" at my fingertips.

well I was using LPP on 2.1 (perfect no lag at all) then installed 2.2 factory reset and reinstalled LPP and it lagged a lot so i uninstalled used stock blur felt about the same. then performed a cache and hard reset, tried again same results. i will try adw for a bit now to see if it helps i tried adw on 2.1 and was not a fan.

i hear ya my issue i drive for a living and cant really be on the browser for long periods of time because the battery just wont last lol. flash is nice but like i said not worth it for me yet. the browser is fine now with flash uninstalled. hopefully there will be a patch for the responsiveness issue because i dont think it is hardware since 2.1 did not show this so idk.

I have an incredible, and when I heard 2.2 was out for Dx, I told my buddy how to get it. Nothing but constant texts from him how it messed up his phone and it constantly reboots. Will a factory reset fix this for him? I'm tired of getting his texts every 20 minutes.

cache wipe and factory reset fixed mine I reset tho holding down the "home button and power key" once M pop up turn loose of power key and pushed the search button , showed a list to choose from , use the vol key to toggle between them and the camera button to execute

I'm not sure that doing a factory reset wipes the dalvik cache, I could be wrong.

Typically it requires you to have root, download and run a terminal as root, connect to your phone and rm * the cache directory..
