Who had 2 folds and refused shippment of one ?

Alright that was quick. Samsung just emailed that my return was successfully processed and refunded the amount

1/ Initiated return with restocking fees ($45.64) and dropped off at FedEx on July 23, Wednesday.

2/ FedEx delivered the phone back to Samsung via FedEx ground on July 28, Monday.

3/ Samsung acknowledge return received on July 28, Monday.

4/ Samsung emailed return successful and refunded the amount on July 29, Tuesday.

5/ Now will submit claim to AMEX return protection for refunding the restocking fees.

Just to be clear, you Initiated the return ? you didn't refuse the shippment ?
 
I got this earlier this morning - "
Hi George .,

We have initiated the process to refund your $225.78 extra discount correspondent to your order #SA164####

For the record this "EXTRA DISCOUNT" was on the phone i returned.
 
The EXTRA DISCOUNT would have made my original order $85 CHEAPER than my reorderRefund.png
 
I refused delivery for my Flip 7 on 7/23. It arrived back to Samsung on 7/25. I received refund on 7/29 (today). I received total amount of purchase.

Finally!! This was a painful process. Samsung needs to improve its online cancellation process.

Side note. Samsung refunded me 225.78 a couple weeks ago that was on the refused order. so my refund refect that and I am refunded 908.87

So the rub is the second order cost me 984.66. No price adjustment on this.

There was no restock fee.

Honestly, it's gotten worse as years go by. I feel like it's intentional to make it harder for people to cancel or return orders, etc., in the hope that maybe some will give up and just keep the phone.
Lesson learned for me this time around. This was the most absurd in their customer service side of things. When you thought you got everything under control.

Their chat AGENT is not a good route to take; getting on chat and requesting a call back is the best course of action from this point forward. Do not take their words with Chat Agent (these guys are not to be trusted EVER again).

I was constantly being reminded to send in the trade-in. We'll see when the refund hits my bank.

I did the chat agent, and recorded the chat exchange , when I called yesterday they asked if I had the agents names I told them I have the chat and I could get it , they asked if I had the numbers at the end of the chat I said yes and they said they would read it and get the name. A few minutes when by he came back and said I would have the refund with in 24 hours. Just checked and it is indeed in my account PENDING

So stupid the way they handle things.
 
These stories of difficulties on refusing the shipment is why I chose not to go that route. Samsung customer service can be very challenging to deal with when the automated system they use fails.
