Verizon, updated to 6.0.1 four days ago. Can no longer edit photos. It wants me to download a photo editor app. Okay, I'll do that if I must. I press download app and get a message that says:

Notifications
This app is not available for your device.
(Com.sec.android.mimage.photoretouching:2290:4002)

I press 'okay' and then the screen says connection failed, RETRY, which does nothing.

The guy on the Verizon store tried downloading a few different photo editing apps but nothing works. I can't even crop a photo now!

Any help is appreciated!

Hi

You'll join many to whom have issues after the update. Here are your options.

1. Go into recovery mode, wipe cache partition. no data loss. if it doesn't help, goto step 2.
2. Full Factory Reset - All data loss, BE SURE TO BACK UP.

Hope this helps!
Chris

I had forgotten about wiping the cache. I'll try that before a reset. If I knew the reset would work, I'd do it but not unless I know for sure.

If anyone else reading this has this problem let me know. I'm curious. Thanks!

No such luck on wiping the cache to fix it. Would still like to hear from anyone with this problem. If it is just me, probably no chance an update will come out to fix it.

Everyone cross your fingers you don't develop this problem. I now have to get a loaner from Verizon and send mine in to Samsung. Such fun! Not happy.

Just in case anyone has this problem and finds this thread, the phone had to be replaced. No one could figure it out. Now there is a new software update. I probably won't be participating. :/
