Updates from Huawei

Great excitement, fantastic super speedy support from Huawei. My P8 lite 2017 just received an update from Huawei. I've gone from EMUI 5 to 5.0.1. Gotta say I'm completely blown away, IMHO its now only lacking one feature to make it perfect, the ability to delete the whole crock of s**t completely.

Security is obviously a big thing to at Huawei I've jumped from the January 2017 monthly security update to December 2017 so now its only 5 months behind...

Given that we're now all eagerly looking forward to Android P its gratifying to see that Huawei have saved us all the agro of coming to terms with the new features and my P8 is still wonderfully welded to Andriod 7, yep you know that version of Android that was out of date the day my phone came out of the box when new...

Guess you've realised that I'm not Huawei's number one fan...

And considering that since December (when 8.1 was released) the only updates have been security updates (and there have been 5 of them) ...

Given that Huawei have promised us Android updates and that we're now close to Android P do you think they will skip Oreo now that's nearly done and go direct to Android P?

So another couple of months down the line, Oreo has been out for what 8 months and gone from 8 to 8.1 (8.1 is now a full 6 months old having been released in December 2017) Android P gets ever closer and guess what? Absolutely no sign of support from Huawei...

Hopefully funds will allow an upgrade soon and guess who wont be looking at Huawei product...
