Updating Google Calendar from Eris

My wife and I both have had the Eris for 4 days now and love it. But we are both experiencing a problem that I cannot seem to find a way around.
If we add or update an event on the Eris, it does not get synced to Google calendar. Updating Google Calendar from a PC works great and the Eris sees it almost immediately. I just cannot seem to be able to create/edit an event on the phone and have it update the calendar. Any ideas?

When you add the event. Are you adding it to the calendar associated with e-mail address. I have a My calendar and gmail address option. When I use gmail address one it works fine.
