My baseband version says eb01, and my build is ed01.

I want to update my modem because I 've been having issues as of late (randomly can't make phone calls [rings, then hangs up instantly requiring reboot]).

Is there a way to update it without having to lose all my stuff? I don't want to change my kernel/rom, I just want to run the latest modem.

I found this: http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...apid-process-ed01-ed03-modems.html#post944425 is that the recommended procedure?

To upgrade just the radio - that would do it for you.

That's the best way.. I did it last night matter of fact..your data is safe if you follow the instructions...

ODIN DLO9 modem
Flash DL09 to EA28.zip
EA28 to ED03.zip

*228 option 1 reboot *228 option 2

thats all you'll need.

good luck!

EDIT: IF your still having issues with that after you update the modem, I would have a look at your kernel..

Thanks. Any recommended voodoo kernels?

Also, I have the aperture science shut down/start up boot screen, but it doesn't say anything on startup. How can I fix that? It works for shut down.

The kernel you are likely running does not support the PowerOn.wav sound.. currently none of the kernels support the boot sounds.
