If you wait you will be graced with a few more noteworthy options:
1. The new Nexus phones (of which there are two and believed to be constructed by HTC).
2. The LG V20 which will come with Nougat out of the box (something no other phone will have when the V20 launches).
3. The new iPhones. It's possible this won't even be in your list of considerations, especially given the omission of the headphone jack and a frankly hideous design (at least in my opinion) but it's something you might want to consider (Apple are pretty good at hiding the more interesting features for their press events).
4. Huawei Mate S2. If the software isn't a trashy iOS ripoff like it usually is then it will no doubt be a compelling device.
Wildcard guess: Another HTC phone. Perhaps a successor to the A9 but that's pure speculation on my behalf.
