I've got a Pixel 5a and Pixel Buds A. I had installed the Pixel Buds App (or else it automatically installed when I paired the Buds, can't remember.) When the Buds app was installed it placed a shortcut on my home screen, which I found convenient for checking the battery charge levels.
After I upgraded to Android 12 I noticed my Buds short cut was missing. I looked in the app drawer for Buds app, intending on placing the Buds app icon on the home screen page, but it wasn't in the app drawer.
Eventually, I found the Buds app shortcut in the Widgets drawer and installed it on my home screen. Thought it was kind of weird Android 12 would mess with Pixel Buds app and figured I'd pass my experience on to others.
