Upgrade to Samsung S20 FE?

TMo is running a pretty good deal and will give you $500 off when trading in a Pixel 3a XL. That's $500 firm, not "up to" $500. Ordering from Samsung only gives you "up to" $450 and the value given for a 3a XL is only $225.

Anyone tempted?

S20 FE, who's thinking about it?

Sent the S20 FE back. The display is disappointingly poor, it actually doesn't do white (even after fiddling with all of the settings). Just gray and lacks the brightness and pop of the Pixel 3A XL. Side-by-side comparison is a HUGE difference in screen and brightness quality.

The AOD is not actually always on (or it is but very faint) and you can't see time or notifications from the first "black" lock screen. WTF, what good is that if you have to unlock manually to see notifications?? Sammy level 2 tech support confirmed this, and also that you can't adjust font size on the status bar (icons are microscopic).

FPS under the screen frankly sucks - immediately did not recognize 2 out of the 3 fingerprints just stored.

And tapping sensitivity is a problem, having to tap multiple times to get it to register.

And no headphone jack, which I was going to live with.

That's just my own personal preference. Obviously in the minority. But I am keeping the Pixel for the foreseeable future.
