I upgraded my VZ Note 8 to Android 9.0 and immediately noticed 2 apps that I regularly use are gone.

Somehow they were uninstalled during the OS upgrade.

Went to reinstall the apps and they downloaded but they don't install.

Anyone have any similar issues?

The 2 apps are - 'Business Calendar 2' by Appgenix and 'Deliveries' by oRRs.

I have Pie on AT&T and I use Deliveries as well. It was there after upgrade. No issues with use either. I don't use the other app sorry.

I use Business Calendar 2, and it was still there and functioning without a problem after the v9 update.

Very strange -- I also use Business Calendar 2 on my VZW Note8, and it continues to work after the Android 9 Pie + OneUI update. It's particularly strange that you can't install it after downloading from Google Play. You might check Settings > Apps and make sure they're not showing there at all. If they are, uninstall from there and then re-download from Play and try installing again. Of course, restarting the phone somewhere in the process might also help.

I use Deliveries by that developer as well. No issues continuing to use it after upgrading to Pie. The only two apps I use that wouldn't work after the upgrade, but did after an uninstall and reinstall were the Home Depot app and SwiftKey.

About the only difference I noticed in Pie is that, if you're running the battery saver, Deliveries asks you to exempt it from that (since it won't act on push notifications to notify you).

Sorry this is the only way for me to respond since the pie update.
I was able to download and install Business Calendar 2. No issues on my end. Maybe something in your phone settings. Sorry😔

Thanks but there is something that is creating a conflict cause it removed it during the OS upgrade....
Hoping sometime else had had a similar issue so I can figure this out.

Thanks Dave.
It's completely removed from the device. It's not in the app settings and there aren't any folder dates files left over.
When I go to reinstall, it downloads but wont install.
I get this screenshot.
First thing I did was reboot...... But it didn't help.

Mmf. Definitely a bummer -- I know I'd hate to be without Business Calendar. At this point, you're probably best off contacting the developers of BC and Deliveries and reporting the issue to them. If others have experienced it, they may have a solution.

Thanks, contacted both of them and have yet to hear back.
It's one week since I emailed deliveries and a few days since I emailed BC2.
