Upgrading from a Note 2: Backup pains and ROOT (Verizon)

As soon as I opened Titanium on my Note 3, it hit me: I NEED ROOT! Am I too hopeful to expect a Exynos-exploit style dead simple root app? All this talk of tripping Knox makes me more wary of trying out the early root methods. That and no JellyBeans custom ROM ;_;
