So I just burned an upgrade to replace my Bionic with a RAZR MAXX... am I crazy? My Bionic has been very reliable (current uptime > 20 days) but I just loved the MAXX in the store.

Your not crazy. I know a few people that went from the Bionic to the Maxx and they loved it. Some paid full price and not one regret that I know of.

I did the same and can say I do not regret it. The battery life is the best part but I think the look and overall screen layout is another great thing about the Maxx.

I loved the screen, the size (compared to my Bionic with extended battery), the speed, Bluetooth 4 with low energy profile... almost went with Galaxy Nexus but it seemed a mediocre phone except for the screen.

I did the same thing as well. My Bionic was actually faster than the Maxx after the .902 update. But that doesn't bother me very much at all. The other upgraded features were more than worth it and I loved my Bionic very much but I am thoroughly enjoying this maxx.

Okay so now you got me worried! My Bionic has 902 and it is slower than the Maxx at the Verizon store. Will the Maxx slow down significantly once I get all my apps loaded on it? Is that what happened to you?

Huh. Well, I have a Razr and the wife just got the Bionic...and dang if I don't like it a little better! It fits the hand better, otherwise identical except for having to grab two apps to replace Smart Actions and MotoCast, big deal. Nothing wrong with the trade to the Razr, but if you've got a Bionic, just relax and enjoy it.

I like the Bionic better than the original RAZR (too thin), but I really like the size of the RAZR MAXX.

You're not crazy...lol, but if your Bionic was working fine, I honestly see no reason to switch.

Did you switch from RAZR to Rezound?

Me? I have both....and in all honesty....I wish I woulda never got the Rezound. I dont even bother charging it up anymore. Matter of fact I let someone use it and I dont care if I ever see the phone again...lol.

I let someone use my RAZR for a few months while I used the Rezound....so glad to have my RAZR back. I may see if I can get the Maxx at a discount tho.

I'm a man of simple needs. My phone has to excel, be good as a phone first. Everything else comes 2nd. Reception, call quality, battery life are my biggest wants n needs. So far the RAZR has been the best for me compared to the G Nex I had and Rezound I have.

So you are worse than me lol... RAZR, Rezound, GNex, now RAZR Maxx!

I'll weigh in differently, I miss my Bionic. The Maxx is a great phone and one that I'll cherish for the next two years, but I really loved my Bionic. I still get to use it since I gave it to Wifey, but there are times when i think about switching the two phones out.

what do folks like better on the Maxx over the Nexus other than the battery? Are you happy with the screen?

Bluetooth 4.0 low energy is one reason I went with the Maxx over Nexus. I like the Maxx's capacitive buttons, and the build quality/design. GNex also seems to have volume and connectivity issues if you read up on it. Nice screen though.

Also I like Moto phones / software; not sure how I'd like Touchwiz and the build quality of the Gnex.
