Upgrading Galaxy5 from Android 5.0 to 6.0?

I have Galaxy with Android 5 and want to upgrade to Android 5.1 or 6
with the upgrade option in control panels.

The question - should I do this and are there any potential problems with such upgrade?

I’m not a techie, just ordinary user.

Make backup(s) of your important data to Smart Switch or elsewhere. Though OTA upgrade should keep your phone data and files, it is always safer to have backups in case of accidents. Android 6.0 works great on my Galaxy S5, way better than Android 5.0.

Is your phone the S5, or some other phone with a "5" in its name?
