Upgrading to Android 4.0 OS on Optimus V

How in the world to you do it? I have been searching everywhere and I can't find any relavent USEFUL leads on how to upgrade my OS from 2.2 to 4.0

^^^^what he said! The best thing you can do is read up on it all rooting and running with root there are ways you can brick your phone. The more you know the less chance of you messing up your phone.

If everybody replied with that, then google would find your post as the answer to this thread and then other users would be clueless as what to do....there are surprisingly many people who have no idea how to navigate through a forum, trust me, it was confusing when I first started trying to navigate through a forum to find my own posts/threads.

1st thing you must know: There is no official release of ICS for our phone.

But Bobz and TDM have released ports for the OV.
