Hi all,

I'm considering upgrading to the Galaxy note 5. i currently have a note 4. Is it worth the upgrade? should i wait some time? my phone lags once and a while and sometimes freezes. Other than that, it works beautiful.

It's also a step down in the SD card and replaceable battery department. You have to consider how important those things are to you.

Not to mention the IR Blaster being removed, plus about 10 things that used to be on the Note 4 that got removed from the Note 5. If it were me, I would factory reset the phone, (back up data first), and see if maybe an app or setting is causing the issues. I'd also live with the phone a few more months to see what the Note 6 brings.

I've been thinking about waiting to see what the Note 6 brings.

I went back to my N4 after having the N5 for about 2 months. The 5 is a bit faster and easier to hold. But that is it, overall the 4 is a better package. I just reset my note 4 and it feels like a new phone. The 5 feels fragile, pen is awkward to remove, battery is not very good, and it can lag as much as the N4. During those 2 months I realized how much I relied on the removable battery.

I'm waiting for the Note 6 to appear and will choose between that and the LG G5.

I enjoy my Note 4 so will also keep it around. I'm a phone 'junkie'.

Agreed. I'd wait, if expandable storage is important to you. I don't think your getting the removable battery back with the Note 6.

Of course, if the Note 5's price has come down and it fits your price range, maybe go for it. I here is a great device.
