Uploading Google Contacts to Andriod phone

This is my first Andriod phone. How do I upload my saved contacts from contacts/google to my new phone?

Sign in with your Google account. Once the sync process is complete your contacts should show in the Contacts and Phone apps, provided you enabled sync of course.

Can you tell us exactly where the contacts you're trying to sync to your phone are located? If you go to contacts.google.com on your computer browser, are they all there? If so, then hallux's advice is sound.

Going into contacts.google.com all my contacts are there. Thanks so much for the help.
