Uploading to Google Play

Hey guys, I've decided to replace my laptop with the new Transformer Pad Infinity coming in August, since it would serve all my laptop needs. I do my productivity stuff at my desktop at work, so it makes sense to buy a tablet for light computing at home. The only thing I don't know if it can do is upload downloaded music to google play. On my desktop, I download music from one of those 10 cents a song sites then it gets uploaded using the Google Play Music desktop program automatically.

So, is there a way I can download this music temporarily to a local file on the tablet that google play will recognize and upload? That would be ideal, since i want to ditch the laptop (win 7). Or if not a local file, I know the Transformer will have SD card support so that could work too, right? I just don't like paying 1.30 a song, and im cheap so I use the pay-up service Buy & Download Cheap Mp3 Music Online instead of buying straight from google.

This is really the only thing holding me back. I guess its not a big deal but i'd like some kind of assurance that I can still use the music service if i ditch my laptop. Otherwise, I'm ready to make the switch to full android.
