Hey all. This is my first post on the site, so if I'm doing something totally wrong here, please let me know.

Anyway, I just took a shower and when I came back to my Nexus 7 (2012) I noticed a notification in that said my system update was downloaded and ready to install. Awesome I thought. I've been waiting forever for KitKat and here it is! So I went through the installation and shortly before it finished I got an "Error!" with a red exclamation point coming out of the Android robot. Panicking, I rebooted my Nexus and now when it loads up I get a "No command." thing with the Android robot again... I've tried rebooting a couple times now to no avail. I have a lot of important stuff on this Nexus... please tell me there is a way to fix this without wiping my data. Thanks in advance.

had the same problem with my attempt to install. now cannot find the upgrade file. maybe it will show up when I do a system update. also tried the OTA downloads but could not open the files. help Nexus/Android

When you see the No Command screen, try pressing and holding the Power button, then pressing the Volume Up button (while still holding Power), then releasing both at the same time. See if the Recovery menu appears. If so, try wiping the cache partition, then reboot the system.

Thanks for the advice, but it sadly didn't work. :/
