Ok, so moving over to my first ever Android device and before it arrives (fri, evo) I am moving ALL my mail from osx's mail.app. Very tedious but got a very important question.
So I added my private domain to gmail, it pop3 recieves and and uses smtp to send mail, works great. Labels the mail as it comes in with that domain name etc. Gmail is inteligent enough to know where to reply mail from and I can manually select the from as well.
My concern however that android gMail app will not be that smart. My palm pre for example can only send mail to my primary gmail account, it cannot do it any other way. i.e. Someone send mail to my private domain, it comes into gmail, I reply, it comes from my main gMail name only, no way around it.
Please tell me this is not the case with the gMail app, I started the process of uploading my mail archive and its taking forever (its work email, thus the urgency). If it can't then I will be forced to separate the accounts (annoying) or worse, not be able to do it at all.
Thanks in advance.
