Urgent Questions: Recovery After Root & Safe Apps to Uninstall

Hello everyone. I have some questions for anyone who can help.

1. Can I install a custom recovery AFTER obtaining root on my Samsung Galaxy Light SGH-T399 phone? I have root access via ShabbyPenguin's pre-rooted stock rom and I'm on NE4.

2. Also, should I use CWM or TWRP? Which one will be more simple for me to use and understand? Which one will allow me to make better, complete nandroid backups and restorations?

3. Which apps can I safely uninstall?
