.US domain names marked as illegal in email

An email app that hasn't been rewritten since the .us domain was added is up. Try emailing Samsung about it. (The old way of validating email addresses by checking whether the top level domain was one of a list of TLDs [which was just one in a chain of things that are checked - like only 1 '@' in the address] became invalid a few years ago, when new TLDs started getting added. But now, when anything can become a TLD, everyone has to come up with a new way of writing his checking his validation function. It's going to take a while until everyone catches up. All changes take time to filter down to all software.)

Until then, if you must send emails to .us TLDs, try a different email app.
