US version galaxy s20 compatibility with 5g network in Romania

I have a galaxy s20 5g phone (SM-G981U) purchased in the USA. I am currently in Romania using an Orange network sim card with 5g support however i only get LTE speeds. After some research I have learned that there might be a compatibility issue since apparently my phone only has the 5G: Bands n2, n5, n41, n66, n71. apparently here in Romania Orange uses the n78 band.

Is there any software update i can perform or is there any workaround that would enable me to access 5g speeds with this phone on this network?

I am afraid that the U.S. band phones are not compatible with worldwide 5G networks.
