USB C headphones randomly stopped working (LG G6)

I bought some USB C headphones for my LG G6. They worked fine for 1-2 weeks, but two days ago they randomly stopped. When I plug them in the phone doesn't react in any way and continues to play music through the speaker. I have tried cleaning the usb c port, going into developer mode and switching the mode from charging into audio device, and even factory resetting the phone, nothing has helped. I've tested the USB C headphones on another phone and they work fine. My G6 also plays music normally when I use the headphone jack.
