Ok so I use the usb to charge my phone while I am at work. I Never mount the SD card but I do wonder if it is possible for my IT department can view items like my text messages or emails, basically info on my phone. Any help is appreciated.

But if someone really wanted to hack their way into your phone, they could.

if someone really want's to hack you're phone, they don't need a USB connection to do it.

Trust me, we have better things to do. If you're wearing a tinfoil hat then by all means purchase a wall charger to ensure that they can't.

Its very unlikely. If anything, Your phone would have to be rooted.
