Saw this on another forum and thought I would share here in case anyone else didn't know. I have You may need to download the Acer USB driver for your computer to see your tablet as an external hard drive. You can find it at the Acer support website.

Download

This USB driver (USB Driver_Acer_1.06.1500_A30H_A500) asks for Windows Media Player 11 to be installed if it is not. I do not have WMP 11, nor do I want it on my desktop. Is there anyway to get around mounting the Iconia A500 on a desktop via the USB cable without installing this driver?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

XP needs either Run time 11 or Media Player 10 or 11 for this to work in that os. Vista and 7 the media transfer protocol is built in. If you are using 98, 2000 or me some manufactures have legacy utilities to get this to work but of course will cost you. If you are using BSD or Linux just get f-spot.
