USB micro head on charger getting burning hot

Basically as the title states, when charging using the original cable/plug after 5 minutes it gets so hot it burns to touch, now i understand that when fast charging it will get warmer than normal but this is dangerous to touch. To be clear this is the micro end going into the phone. After 15mins it does begin to cool off and become more normal.

I have @samsunghelpuk on twitter responding and being helpful I have a support person calling to resolve. Probably to send a new cable.

Has anyone else noticed excessive heat while charging?

If it's too hot to touch, toss it and get a new one before it wrecks your device.. And don't have it on fast charge... If the new one gets that hot, you have some problem with the regulator circuitry in the device...

Samsung have called and are sending out a new charger and cable, if it's still getting really hot then they will send a new device.
