Usb won't transfer photos to pc

[Android Central Question]

My Samsung S6 phone is not being recognised by my laptop when I use a usb. It's transferred pictures and documents before without issue. I had problems with the phone battery recently. My husband's S6 works fine. Any ideas?

Did you change the USB function to data from charging?
