Use a Verizon Moto E 2nd generation on T-mobile?

Hi there, this phone was claimed to be unlocked by a seller on eBay, and able to be used on any GSM. I popped in the SIM, and it flashes between 4G and no service. I downloaded the network app and switched CDMA to GSM, but it still only flashes. It runs Android 5.1. Any help? Thanks!

I don't think that model device comes unlocked. Almost certain that Verizon had to unlock it. Are you able to make calls? Or does that not work in addition to the data?

The sim slot isn't locked, however Verizon disabled gsm networks in the settings. A few adb commands is required to enable the disabled commands. But otherwise, you don't need to unlock the sim slot with any code. Details can be found here
