I just got this watch from my sister so I'm learning how to use it. Is it possible to use a different texting app besides the stock messaging ?

Great, would you share the solution?
You have to go into the galaxy wearables app on your phone and then click on notifications. It will then let you pick out the apps you want to show notifications on the watch.

Yes, that I have done. It does not solve the main problem of not having a texting app on my watch. One can respond, but not initiate. And, the alerts see to be not 100%.

Go into the Galaxy Wearable app, then APPS, then select the three dot menu, in the upper right corner. Select HIDE and see if the MESSAGES app is hidden. The hidden apps will have a check to the left of the app name.

Great tip. Did not know that. Unfortunately the app is not there. It seems, according to other threads, that the messages watch app only shows if it's paired to a Samsung phone. I haven't found another watch app that serves that purpose.

Ah... I missed that you don't have a Samsung, but I did learn something, maybe not new, but again, today. Thanks!
