Hello,
I ordered a note 10+ and have several external microphones, wired/powered and non-powered, wireless powered. Also a Saramonic SR-AX100 Audio Mixer. They all have 3.5 plugs. How can I use them? Is there an adapter?
Thank you,
Rande

I remember hearing in a review that you need a dongle that does the DAC conversion itself as the phone does not. many aftermarket dongles won't do this. probably best to buy the Samsung dongle.

Yes interesting topic, also would like to know. Considering buy this phone without an audio jack and would like to use my external microphone boya mm1. But if it will work 100% with official Samsung Dongle thats great

I have the same question. Has anybody been able to confirm this yet or linked to an adapter that definitely works? I have tried two adapters from Amazon and get no microphone audio using a microphone that works perfectly with the Samsung Galaxy s9's 3.5mm jack.

but this dongle is too big for example if use zhiyum smooth 4 gimbal... this usb c is blocked, so need something like this, but i cannot find from samsung

I just bought the official Samsung adaptor from the Samsung shop and it works perfectly with my lapel microphone

Samsung chose option remove the DAC, so the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lacks a DAC for audio conversion.

The lack of a DAC means you need a DAC-enabled dongle to record audio. Anything else, and you will end up with silence.

just copied from another web

dongle for example this:

I bought Samsung adapter. I have vt 506 lavalier mic, but it is not working. Vt 506 is one of the high quality mic. It worked with note 8. I am planning to return the 10 plus and switch tge iPhone.

look in the samsung note 10 box, find the usbc - usb adaptor. then use a standard usb - mic/headphone adaptor. any mic should now work. i just worked this out today as im using the note 10+ for live stream, but i needed an external to use a wireless mic etc. luckily i found the box, as this c-usb adaptor is so small, it could easily get tossed in the rubbish.

samsung selling offical usb c to audio jack dongle, just look in electro store or on their website, just buy only that will 100% work, must have dac support.galaxy-note10_accessories_typec_white.jpg 13 usb.
Dont buy any cheap from china wont work

Mic adapter works on Samsung Galaxy Note10+

I attest that the official Samsung USB-C audio adapter for Samsung Galaxy Note10+ works for recording sound inputs from a lapel microphone.

The name of the official adapter is "USB-C Headphone Jack Adapter"; the model number of the official adapter is EE-UC10JUWEGUS. The official adapter can be purchased at Samsung.com, at the following URLs.

https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/mobile-accessories/phones/usb-c-headphone-jack-adapter-ee-uc10juwegus/

https://www.samsung.com/us/business/products/mobile/accessories/adapters/usb-c-headset-jack-adapter-ee-uc10juwegus/

I bought an official adapter at Samsung.com, received it on 16 March AD 2021, and I tested the adapter with two different lapel mics, one by Movo and another by PowerDeWise, that I bought at Amazon.com. Both worked.

When a TRRS or 4-pin 3.5mm mic plug is connected to the phone via the Samsung USB-C audio adapter, and a video is recorded using the built-in Camera app on the phone, a message that says "Recording audio through USB mic" displays on the bottom of the screen when the recording starts. The recorded voice volume is at the highest when the TRRS or 4-pin 3.5mm mic plug is used.

When a TRS or 3-pin 3.5mm mic plug is connected to the phone via the Samsung USB-C audio adapter, by using a 4-to-3-pin 3.5mm mic plug adapter, and a video is recorded using the built-in Camera app on the phone, no message displays on the bottom of the screen when the recording starts; nonetheless, voice gets recorded. The recorded voice volume is low or lower when the TRS or 3-pin 3.5mm mic plug is used.

Since TRRS or 4-pin 3.5mm plugs are intended for smartphones, and TRS or 3-pin 3.5mm mic plugs are intended for PCs and camcorders, I suppose using the TRRS or 4-pin 3.5mm plug is proper when recording voice on Samsung Galaxy Note10+ via the official USB-C audio adapter.

I got the official Samsung USB-C audio adapter for producing audiovisual contents for online content marketing. I am very satisfied with, and even impressed by, the recorded voice sound quality; the recorded voice sound quality is extremely good, and there is no noise in the sound recording other than the usual background noise or hiss that can and should be reduced using an audio mastering software program such as Adobe Audition.
