Hi everyone,
I've decided to create this thread because i couldn't find answers to my questions. I have a 7.0' galaxy tab2 and i wanted to use my old classic ipod as an external hard drive. As the ipod is self powered, i thought that, if formated in fat32, it could be read by the tab. I've lost the original usb to tab adapter i bought a bluestork adapter. When i plug the ipod to the tab (even in disk mode), i have a message saying that as the hard drive is not self powered, it can't be read by the tab. Does anybody knows what the problem is ? Is there a way to connect the ipod without using a self powered hub ( the idea was to use the ipod to store movies/shows and watch them on the tab in the subway...) ?
Thank you ;)

Welcome to the forums.
I know Androids and Apple don't play well together. That may be part of the problem.

Have you tried an OTG Adapter? (On the go)? It provides things power from the Galaxy Tab-2 like an external keyboard or mouse! Look for a Samsung OTG adapter on ebay and you can see what you need. Hard to find locally! I am not certain this will work but it will let you connect a thumb drive or USB to SD Card adapter to your Tab-2. Will not work on a Tab-3.

HI,
The bluestork adapter is OTG, it powered up my keyboard. The strange thing is that the ipod has a functionning battery so it shouln't need power.
Thank you for your answers.

Well, I'm starting to think that the problem is a apple/samsung or apple/android connectivity issue but I'll probably post a similar thread in another forum hoping for a new answer.
