Use 'old' wall chargers for new Play and Force phones?

The wife and I are finally getting new phones this week. I will have the Play and she will have the Force. I've been doing a lot of reading about power and USB C cables and yadda yadda. What I'm most concerned with is safety of charging the phones. I won't be using any adapters for my existing USB B cables but what about the wall chargers themselves? I got a handful of them laying around from various brands that accept USB A cables.
Example 1:
Samsung
Output is 5.0V, 2.0A

Example 2:
HTC
Output is 5.0V, 1.0A

Are either of these safe to charge with? Is there a minimum amp that I should look for as in too low of a amp would damage the phone?

Thanks for the help.

It been using all my old wall chargers since day 1. Got the Force on release date. No issues whatsoever. Only time I use the rapid charger(supplied charger) is if I am pressed for time. I haven't had any issues with the chargers.

I also use the adapters because I had so many micro USB cables around. Not making a recommendation just saying they work.

They'll charge fine. I use a couple of older wallwarts and the Moto Z had no issue charging on them.

Either is fine. It will just charge slower than the stock one but won't cause any damage
