Use phones on amazon.co.uk?

Does anyone know if amazon.co.uk fixed their issue, where so-called "SIM Free" HTC Ones were actually previously used/flashed from the vodafone network? I emailed to ask, but I wondered if anyone knows if that was an official problem they've addressed, and also if the problem is resolved by now? Apparently in late July they made the product unavailable and then on the 28th they re-stocked, but is there anything official or reputable to say this issue no longer exists and when you buy from them now it will be truly new.

The HTC Ones are a lot cheaper than from stores there ,but I dont want a used one obviously. Or one which is locked on a network.
