Use the tab 3 as GPS

Hi all,
I am about to take a long road trip and wondering how well how well the tab 3 8 works as GPS
Please share your experience. Hopefully I won't have to buy a Garmin

Its not bad. Used it with Viewranger app once but only as a back up to confirm position. But up mountains and such you never should set out wi4h out paper map and compass.
