Used Pixel prices too high

Yeah, it's a good phone and I had one, but my S8 runs circles around it. Time for the price to drop. The Pixel 2 will be very similar. Bezels-R-Us.

The price will drop when people are no longer willing to pay the higher price.

It's called the "law of supply and demand" or, if you prefer, simple economics. :)

Bezels have no correlation with price. Also, lol @ the S8 "running circles" around the Pixel.

I will say that Google seemed to keep an artificially low supply of Pixels. That probably helped with the secondary market.

I got an S8 for family's emergency backup. The wife used it for 2 weeks and HATED IT. She went right back to her pixel within minutes of it arriving. She hates technology and buttons. She won't even use the radio in my Accord

We always joke about her being an old lady.

I married one of those also. I had to finally pry the iPhone 4 from her hands. I was afraid she'd kill me in my sleep those first couple weeks without it.

You could at least let her stay with Apple. The iPhone 7 should only be different in size anyway. Lol.

I bought my Pixel (silver, 32gb, VZW) for $425 3 month ago.

It's now $400. That's a little slow, but not too bad. The prices will crash in late Sept.

Got a refurb 32GB XL for $450 this week. First phone that I have had in a long time that I feel like I will be happy with for at least a year. Maybe 2.

It wasn't artificially low supply. The fact is that Google doesn't actually care how many pixels they sell. They just want the pixel to exist as a rival to further spur innovation and pressure android manufacturers to continue to push the limits. Google is a software company, manufacturing isn't their game.

Google just dropped the prices of the pixels and included a free daydream vr

I got the Daydream with my first-day order of the Pixel XL (well, a month or so later, anyway). Played with it a few times and, frankly, I have better ways to waste my limited free time.

Perhaps just not enough quality Daydream apps yet to make it worthwhile.

As a father of a toddler, I completely agree!

I picked up a used Pixel XL 32gb w/ charger, tgsp and an otterbox case for $380 on ebay at the end of June. I also picked up a Pixel 32gb w/ charger and case for $300 for my wife. She had a nextbit Robin before this but loves everything about her pixel.

Anyone want to get rid of their Daydream?

Funny, all of these people "whining" and complaining that the price of a used Pixel is too high. That only means that demand is high and the quality makes people want to keep it. Look at the price of iPhones.... they have ALWAYS been, and remain high. I've seen posts in various places of people selling their iPhone 4s for $150! Seriously? I have a Galaxy S3 in good condition that I can't get rid of for $50. I am glad that the Pixel is keeping its value.
