Using a Gmail alias with default email app

Hi!

My friend has had his Galaxy S6 for a while now, using his Gmail address without an issue.

However, he recently decided to create his own business. So he got a custom email for it (like john.doe@mybusiness.com) and I got it setup as his Gmail alias to use with an app password.

The thing is: Once I open the default app, I select 'Other' then I'm clueless. It asks for an email and password.
Is it his Gmail + password or business email + app password?

Anything else that I should know/do, after that, configuration wise?

Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out with trial and error!

Is it an alias on another account or is it a G-suite account that has its own mailbox and access to Google apps? If it's a G-suite account, just log in with the email address and password.

As I type this (it was in the unanswered questions list!) I see you say you figured it out. Care to share in case someone else has a similar problem or question?
