The app is really smooth, smoother even than messenger I think on the phone. I sure hope google can adapt Allo into a default messenger replacement overtime.

I have been using it today as well. Still seeing messages go to the default app then remembered I have to enable Allo in the settings to allow it to run in the background :) Love it so far

Unfortunately, Allo cannot be the default app yet, while it does send SMS, it eh recipient is receiving it as a weird relay message identifying you as the sender.

I've been using Allo on my Honor 8 today as well. It is a lot smoother/faster than hangouts--comparable to what's app. The google assistant feature is interesting. The stickers aren't that great. The fact that you can't use it from a tablet or laptop is a major drawback. It will be interesting to see if many people use it.

Anyone notice that Allo notifications aren't pushing on their Honor 8?

Worked on my Idol 4s now won't push on this one.

Just a reminder, you did make Allo a protected app, right? I don't have anyone on my end whose clamoring to use Allo, so I can't really try it

Just checking, like I said, I can't try it myself. Hopefully someone else chimes in with a suggestion

Did you check the phone's notification center settings to make sure that notifications are actually enabled for that app?
