Using Alternate Number for Contacts

Hello all,

I'm pretty new around here and still fumbling through. I recently bought the Epic for my husband for Father's Day and the EVO 3D for myself. We both had the old Instinct prior to our new phones. My husband loves his new phone with one exception and I am trying to figure out if there is a way to do the same thing on this phone.

Let's say he is trying to call me and he has both my work and cell numbers under my contact. He attempts to call me at work, no answer so he would like to quickly switch to calling my cell number. In the Instinct he would simply go from the call history screen, select the arrow next to my entry, which would bring him to the contact and he could select the other number. If you know of a way of doing this on the Epic, please let me know.

I have the Epic so I can answer regarding it. Wherever you initiated the call from (i.e. Contacts, Messaging, Call Log), you can tap on the picture and hit the icon that's orange with the silhouette of a man. That brings up the contact entry. Then you can tap whatever number you want to call.

Hopefully that makes sense! If not, I can elaborate further.

You could also make a direct dial shortcut to your home screen for each number. That way he could just tap the screen and it would call you.
