Hello,
I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to android. I have kind of missed out on the whole mobile OS revolution due to the fact I have an employer-supplied blackberry, actually I?ve had 5 in the last 10 years. I did have a first generation kindle fire that sat on my night stand and was only ever used as an e-reader. My wife decided to get an iPad and isn?t using her Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7.0. I have heard rumors that Android is going to be going to 64 bit systems, so I am waiting on that before I buy a tablet for myself. In the mean time I have commandeered her Galaxy tab and have been tinkering with it a lot just to see what I think of Android vs iOS to make sure I like it and don?t regret not getting an iPad of my own (although I hate have Matching stuff with my wife).
I do think I prefer android just because I can make it my own more than with an iPad. I started with wallpapers, then moved on to rooting it, deleting bloat-ware, installed Nova Launcher and recently loaded 4.4.2 via the CM 11 ROM. To facilitate the upgrade, I bought a Micro SD card. I figured there was some kind of simple setting to make it so that Media data (movies, podcasts, kindle books, music ETC) downloaded to the SD card automatically and would be run from it. I feel silly asking this because it seems like it must be something simple that I?m overlooking, but I can?t even move files from the tablet to the SD card manually without plugging it into my computer to move it in Windows explorer, and even then, I don?t know how to access it from the tablet. Is there like some kind of app or secret hidden trick I need to know about here?
