Does anyone have examples or directions on how to integrate AppLauncher and Tasker? I used to have a few Tasker profiles set-up on my previous phone, but have not used it lately. Very interested in seeing what people have done using AppLauncher.

Will these even work on the Gear 2 or Neo? If so, I would be interested as well.

AppLauncher works. Does it show in your app store? I'm able to assign phone apps, then by selecting the app on my watch, it opens on the phone. For example, I added Google to the AppLauncher app. When I select it on my watch app, my phone screen unlocks and starts Google Now, listening for my query. This DOES NOT open the app on the watch, nor is it supposed to. Someone in the review section mentioned using it with Tasker (on the phone)

Anyone find a nice use of the two apps yet? I'm not seeing the correlation personally yet.

So after thinking it over this weekend, I remembered that you can activate camera and take pics with Tasker. Messing around this morning, I came up with: Open (junk) app from AppLauncher on watch>App opens on phone, Tasker immediately goes "Home" on phone>Waits 1 second>Takes picture with rear camera.

Couple of issues I'm running into that I could figure out with more time - Pictures go into "Tasker" folder and are written over by each new picture.
Able to wake/unable to unlock screen, which I could do last week...

Good idea. Yeah not being able to unlock with app makes it less useful. Thanks for an idea though.

The use of tasker from the watch is endless.
I created this also. Using the Filewrite methode to write a command to a file. From an profile/event i watch the file modified. On that i read that file and the command. From there i handle that command running it's task.
I created single tasks, which only write the command to the file. From this task i create an app which i can launch with AppLauncher.
I send text back to the watch by creating notification with AutoNotifications.

I have several commands/apps to launch:
01 Home Mode
02 Work Mode
03 Outdoor Mode
04 Break Timer
05 Sporting mode
09 Silent Mode
10 Timer Washing machine
20 Weather (5 day Forecast)
21 Calendar (Read entries for today)
22 Tasker State
23 P2000 (alarms from fire department in Holland).

The numbering is also the ordering within AppLauncher.

But also... when i go outdoors (Outdoor Mode), i create a notification with the current weather conditions to my watch.
When i wake up, first time to unlock the phone in the morning i send the today's calendar items and the weather forecast to my watch.
When i get home, some reminders can be triggered.

For me it's a form of personal assistant.

I'm also looking for a way to speak out text on my watch's speaker using the bluetooth connection.

Set up apps to arm/disarm my surveillance system, request status updates and realtime images that come back to the watch via MMS (with images). Can watch the office without taking the phone out of my pocket. Very cool.

Right now I'm using LaunchGear, but it's kind of buggy (seems to just stop working after awhile). Is AppLauncher any better for $2? It gets mixed reviews, some of which appear to be from people that seem to think it should launch phone apps on the watch.

Yes app Launcher is better for now.
It's faster and sorts the apps by name.
Just some times an app won't start and I have to press it twice.
But all apps are buggy at the moment.
