What should i do when im using my phone as a hotspot from overheating what do you guys do?

Over heating? The only time I find the phone getting hot is using some thing that is data intensive or cpu intensive.

Shouldn't be to different from a regular desktop/laptop computers. Simply because you can go into the BIOS and tell it to restart your pc if your computer gets to hot. I'm sure there's got to be a fail safe with in the android phones.

I don't worry to much about it, in fact I expect it. Did you recently get a new battery? If so it could be a faulty battery. (Just guessing.) As for what I do, absolutely nothing.

I wouldn't worry about it, I use mine as a hotspot daily, and while the back gets hot, it feels the same as when I make a phone call of longer than 5 minutes.

Jared -

Keep it clear and lay it on its screen so it can dissipate heat. If you're worried about getting really hot blow a small fan on it. I use fans in the shop all the time to cool laptops during serious stress testing.

I use my phone to wireless tether often. I keep my phone elevated and away from the ground, bed or sofa. Keeping the screen off also helps. I've never seen my battery temperature go over 115 degrees F. I've read if the battery temperature reaches 140 F then the phone will shut itself off.
