Using BT headset with U2LTE

All I know is that my U2LTE is now a device that I can no longer incorporate into my daily life. I want to, but I just can't. My particular Phone/smartwatch/headset setup requires that I keep a BT phone headset permanently connected to my phone. My smartwatch setup requires that I receive phone call, text and email notifications. Everything else is a bonus.

Google "broke" this, as I can no longer receive phone call notifications on my U2LTE if my Bluetooth phone headset is actively connected to my phone.

Surely Google "could have" designed this such that the U2LTE could still receive phone call notifications, even if it didn't allow you to play phone audio while another Bluetooth phone headset is actively connected. Checking or unchecking the current "Play phone audio on watch" toggle "could" accomplish this. Don't see why unchecking it has to disable the actual phone call notifications.

On my phone, when I go into Bluetooth settings, I see my watch and my Bluetooth speaker. My watch defaults to call audio only I do not have an option for media. On my Bluetooth speaker or receiver, I see that calls and media are turned on. I can leave it on and it'll work but when I try to answer a call it gets pretty buggy. The caller usually says they can't hear me or I can't hear them. So what I did was, I turned off call audio from my Bluetooth receiver and only turned on media audio. So my phone routes calls to my watch and music to my Bluetooth receiver.

This way I can still listen to my music streaming from my phone to my car and still get call notifications on my watch.
... But to answer you have to use your cellphone? That won't do for me; I need to be able to see who calls and answer from the watch (or answer from the headset, which both worked with the last software version) but take the call with my BT headset. It worked perfectly for 5 months and then Google went and ruined that with the software upgrade.

I totally understand. I wish my watch can act as a Bluetooth controller for phones too when hard connected via bluetooth.

It sucks we can't have call audio from two different devices. I learned to live with using my watch to answer calls in the car but it's definitely not ideal especially if you have a Bluetooth receiver for your car.

I hope they bring it back.
