Using carrier's unlimited txt while using Google Voice

On verizon. I have unlimited txt BUT limited data. Can I use my carriers unlimited txting AND have it show up as my google voice number when txting someone?

According to the Google help page, text messaging is sent through your data plan and doesn't use your text allowance: https://support.google.com/voice/answer/168516?hl=en&ref_topic=22030

I know that is the default behavior, BUT I have unlimted txt and WANT to use my carriers TXT service since my DATA is limited.
