I purchased a Galaxy S3 T-Mobile device. I lost it on my trip and purchased the international version Galaxy S3 I9300. The only probem now is this international version doesn't have Wi-Fi calling, it's something i use a lot with T-Mobile USA. what should I do? I called T-Mobile, they didn't help me and referred me to Samsung, they didn't help me either.

That is a T-Mobile app. Not sure about compatibility issues because of the chipset .

Would it be possible for someone with a rooted US S3 to pull that .apk off?

Are you using a T-Mo SIM card? Yes? Then ... What are you doing for data? Unlike the T-Mobile T999, the Int'l I9300 S3 does not have the 1700 band.

EDIT:
If you want, I can send you the T-Mo WiFiCall.apk

Can you send that app to me? wink wink ;)
I have Samsung S3 international version and I would really like to have that T-mobile wifi calling if it's possible because my reception in my house is horrible and I cannot have a normal conversation on it while in the house/building..:(

So did the WifiCallingAPK work? How is the performance of an International S3 on T-Mobile USA. I know that T-Mobile uses 1700 band which no other carrier uses I believe?

i hsve a i 9300 sansung s3 and really n
eed wifi calling to use wi th tmobile account
xan you sent me t hatc app and teach how inst all
thanks a lot

Really interested in this.
I actually have a Galaxy S3 from H3G Italy, and currently use it on Tmobile network.
The only thing that would make it better (other than more 4g coverage) would be the WIFI calling feature...
Would love to have the apk to try to install it.

Installing is easy...
(BTW this is generally how most apks are installed......there are a few exceptions tho)

Option 1)
Once you download or put on an sdcard , use your stock package installer....

Option 2)
Put apk on int. or ext. Sdcard and boot into recovery (stock method is to hold power + home + volume up together til you see a blue script "recovery booting" up top screen).... Then find apk zip file on sdcard and use either (stock vs. rooted) apply update from sdcard / install from sdcard.....if all goes right with file flash just restart and Vila.....

Hi there,

Just picked up the International S3, French version. Can you send that app over with along with any instructions that might help?

Thanks a bunch!

Wifi calling from tmobile might not just be with an apk. Sure that apk is there but I think it needs to it. For example tmobile modem, ship, apk, secphone.apk, I noticed that the secphone have some wifi calling smalis.
