Using migrate to change phones

I'm getting the T2 today and always used migrate to change phones. Is it better to do a fresh activation with out using Migrate or would it be the same.

I don't think it makes any difference. I just did the migrate, swapped SIMs and boogied on. I've done it twice with no problems.

When I open migrate on the turbo 2, it says the program doesn't work on the turbo 2. How did you get yours to work?

Ah, I have two Moto Xs. Doesn't work on a Turbo 2? Too bad.

Unfortunately Motorola retired some services for specific phones and in general after Marshmallow.

WOW! That is a major bummer. Migrate worked perfectly to make a duplicate copy of my old Moto X onto the new one.

Found that out on my wife's new Turbo 2. Couldn't load Migrate on it so used Google backup and VZ. Wouked well but not a simple as Migrate was on my Pure.

When I did the transfer the T2 attempted to use the NFC function to get info from my MAXX but it did not work.
