Using my LG G3 as a computer modem

Hello, people. I got an internet plan on my phone, so my mom decided to cancel my PC's cable internet so I could use my phone's internet on it. Before she did it, I connected my phone, went to Tethering and Networks, selected USB tethering and the PC recognized it and I was able to use the internet. Now that I try to do the same, the PC tells me that the phone is there, but there is no internet access. I tried using both USB ports, selecting USB debugging, and made sure that Mobile Data was on. What am I missing?

Your carrier probably doesn't allow tethering on the plan you're on, so the phone was probably using your wifi to get on the internet when you first tried it. Most carriers charge extra to allow tethering. (It's cheaper than cable internet, but cable doesn't give you a data limit.)

You can pay a monthly premium with Sprint. I haven't tried using it. Probably all the carriers offer this. I think they all jealously guard against tethering without paying additional.

Forgot to say this. I'm from Honduras. I'll try to talk to the company and see what I can do about this. Thanks!
