To start, I use Call Control and the Android Digit Filter to block spam calls on my V20, if the call is not blocked by either of these 2 options and is not matched to any of my contacts I let the call to go to my voice mail.
My home phone is linked to NoMoRobo and that works well and if I am home and the TV is on the caller ID shows up on the TV screen and I can tell if I need to answer it if NoMoRobo does not block it.
Now I figured out how to not hear my home phone ring and screen calls using my V20.
What I did is set my home phone to forward all calls to my cell, when a call comes in it displays on my cell caller ID. If it matches a number in my contacts their name and number shows up and I know I can answer it.
If only the number shows us it means the prefix did not match one of my digit filter entries of Call Control did not identify it as spam.
Now I mute the ring, by tapping the volume button, and allow the call to go to voice mail. If the caller leaves a message, which I can listen to using the Verizon Voicemail feature on the phone and either call the caller back of add it to Call Control to block if it is a scammer.
I do call the number back just to be sure the number should be reported and blocked by both call control and the app on the phone.
