Using Vignette with your Droid X?

I'm curious if any X owners have purchased the full version of Vignette and are using it over the stock camera. The free version seems nice but being so crippled - it makes it hard to decide if I want to pony up for the full version.

I see some folks with the Evo saying they like it better than their stock app (even after Froyo) - so I wondered if any X owners could comment on it.

I purchased the full version but haven't been using it because I gave Camera 360 a try and felt it took better quality photos over stock and Vignette, so I decided to get it instead... Vignette was good but I felt Camera 360 is better.

Thanks for the reply. I'm reading that Camera 360 kills the battery - what's your experience been? Did you try the free version of Camera 360 first? I see people whining that the free one pumpkins out after a certain number of uses?

Why would it effect the battery? I haven't noticed any change in battery usage since I have been using 360, I bought the full version after a day on use so I cant say what the trial may do after a number of uses. I think the statement with battery is another one of those situation where one person say they notice a drain and then everyone else all the sudden notice this to.. I have came to conclusion if there is a way to try it before I buy and it works fine for me I don't listen to others any more because there always will be someone that will have something wrong especially when they try hard enough. I haven't had any issues so far, and I have been using it strong for week now..

Give it a try, either it works for you or not, best to try and make your own opinion..

After reading about 360, I just did some research, I do show that 360 uses 2% of power under power manager which in my opinion isn't anything but that my opinion, but like I said before you might want to try it for yourself and see if it works for you. 2% of power wont make me stop using it.. Hope this helps..

I bought Vignette today and took some low light comparison shots and they seemed less grainy and sharper than the stock app. It's UI is also more streamlined and efficient so changing settings are lightening quick - which is nice in a pinch. Just for that alone I think it's worth it. I also like the touch-to-take-a-pic feature which makes it noticeably faster than the stock app.

I just purchased this. One of the main selling point for me was being able to touch the screen to take a picture which by itself should allow me to take less shaky pics.

One thing of note, it has settings for 5megapixels and 8megapixels (in addition to lower levels). None for 6megapixels.

I bought the full version of Camera 360. So far, I like it much better over stock. I haven't tried Vignette, so don't know the difference. 360 has some very cool special effects in the paid version. It is much better with focusing and exposure/color results.

Well I've tried both Camera 360 Pro and the full Vignette and I'm still unsure which one I like better.

I guess I have 24 hours to decide which goes back and which stays.

what do you see as pros/cons of each?

I haven't tried camera 360 so interested to read what you think about it relative to vignette.

I really like Vignette and think it does do better than the stock app but I hate how long it takes to save/process the picture.

I figure I would try all three ways and put them side to side to compare...

CAMERA 360

Wildman - am I missing something in 360 - or can I not change my ISO settings? The only choice I see is "auto" - or - does it pull over the stock camera settings and I need to make those sort of changes in stock first?

Just for record the shots I posted was all taken with the ISO set to auto but if you are looking for the ISO setting in 360, just open 360 and the press the left menu button and select settings option from pop up menu and the ISO is the 8th option (ISO Speed) on list.

I see that however the only choice in there is auto.

Did you not let the stock focus or?

Every time I used the stock app and attempt to take a photo the image is clear in window but one taken and processed the image never looks like the imahe in window of camera display. The other apps photo looks like the image I see in windows display.

Weird I never had that happen to me yet.

I just bought Vignette and Camera 360 and am trying them out against the stock camera. I am finding Vignette to be a bit quicker and more intuitive to use. Both so far are taking much better pictures than the stock camera but I have only tested them out inside so far.

I have yet to find where you can select the MP with 360.

The true test of these apps is indoor shots. Most will take decent to good shots outside in good light.
